@waylow @theluthier This is your captain speaking, I would like to know if this is a bug. It is about MicroDisplacement that I need to do my clouds.
- – In 2.79 I change the engine to Cycles
- -In the Render tab, change the feature set from Supported to Experimental
- – In the Geometry tab change the Subdivision Rate Preview to 1px so it matches the render 1px
- Add in a UV Sphere, give it a SubD level 2
- In the SubD Modifier check Adaptive
- Give the sphere a material, in the material settings change the Displacement from Bump to True
- In the Node editor, add in a Noise Texture, connect the factor in the Displacement
- And all is good, the displacement works great, it goes from the center and outwards.

In 2.8 I do the same thing and it all comes out a horrible mess, the geometry always shoots out sideways and no matter what coordinates you change, it doe snot change the side shooting, it should come out center to outwards and above all I should be able to control that direction with the coordinates, but it wont budge for anything in the world.

Can anyone confirm if that behavior goes the same for you? I’m using 2.8 Release candidate 2, downloaded it today July 20th 2019
