I will fix that gap between your axle and the drive shaft, I left it until you finished that part as I was unsure of position and size until now.

Not sure the gap between the tyres and the fenders are as big as it looks in that image, a little deceiving in x-ray mode.

I’ve just seen that the wheel hubs and rims at the front axle need to be aligned with the front axle’s rotation axis:

@duerer Make sure we are using the correct wheels! 

@theluthier said he’d use my wheels and then the front wheels are perfectly aligned…

It’s important to all be on the same page here, before changing anything!

So, the highlighted part in the image below together with the bolts has to be moved towards the axle center in order to fit to the chassis and the axle ends have to be moved further outwards in order to fit to the wheels: 

But this would distort the proportions of the rear axle’s outer parts as can be seen in the direct comparison with Kent’s reference image. Does anybody have an idea on how to solve this?

I think you are in a bit of a dilemma @duerer , leave the bolts for now and concentrate on the wheel alignment. I will have another look at the chassis and see what I can do.

@duerer , I gave the chassis a couple of knocks with a sledge hammer, you can now tighten your bolts. 👍

This is what happens to the rear axle when trying to adjust it to the front axle’s rims (semitransparent green):

So, with further stretching, I could adjust the rear axle to the tires:

It’s now out of proportions but I would accept it as believable.

Yeah I think it is definitely passable still. I had to do a decent major change to my assembly as well in order to angle the main loader arms to fit proportions.

Yours is a sacrifice worth making and I think it will be acceptable.
