@louhikarme “you never stop learning. there is always something new.”

That pretty much sums up computer graphics and Blender I’d say. And…life for that matter..I’ve gone existential.

The plane may be 4 years old but it still looks 👍 You’re making great progress on your hotrod already. Good stuff. Are you skipping the primitives exercise?

@freddie82 Yeah that’s a great blueprint. The additional shading on the car seems helpful more than confusing (as reflections can make it harder to determine shapes sometimes).

I have decided that I will do a tank after all.  I don’t think it has enough curves to present a challenge, so I’ll model a spy drone to go with it.  The question now is:  Should the tank have treads or hover-things?

@theluthier Kent just watching the stream recording and got inspired to do some statistics.. 🙂

You might be interested that when you asked the Blender experience level how many users answered in total? Amazingly 41 feedbacks arrived in around 2 minutes!

Let’s see that as a summary on a chart to have an easier overview (if someone pressed 3 & 4 together, that was calculated as 4)

                @csehz Yay for science stats.

@theluthier Thanks! It was the first time I made a blueprint, so I also was surprised with how cool (and useful) the end result was!

I’ll continue with the truck then! I already found some challenging details, and I plan to do something interesting for the joints!

Hope he allows back embeds, It’s cool looking through everyone’s submissions while scrolling 😀

@csehz It’s actually a vehicle and two characters!

I’ve decided to give it hover thrusters.  QUESTION:  Is it necessary to model the interior of the airplane?

                      Homework Submission Week 1:

Here is my airplane, the first project I posted to cgcookie almost two years ago.

Here is my modelling with primitives exercise.

And here are my blueprints.  Not sure if it’s legal to post??? Property of Square Co, Ltd. If someone knows for sure it’s not, let me know and I will take it down.  It doesn’t have much of an interior, but there should be plenty of similar sorts of details to work on. I feel like there is a good chance I totally fail at this, but I will give my skills a test and hopefully at least learn something.

@theluthier I try to squeeze the primitive exercise somewhere this week. 🙂

Sorry, yah I meant ’69 found some blueprints.

@theluthier It’s called APEX:The Story of the Hypercar.  Cool stuff!

@procyonlotor John that would be awesome to see in 3D, well yes the selection needs to be brave to challenge the skills and extend by that

@csehz Huh, neat.  I’m glad the people who have used blender for less than a year are still checking out the more advance streams!  Just because you’re new doesn’t mean you have to restrict yourself to the beginner bracket.

The effect came using a large camera which is panned to follow the car, but not fast enough 🙂

                                  Nice explanation:
