BC4-1810 – Homework, Yukino Hatake

@yukinoh1989  I like the truck and the bedroom.  While the truck is rather similar to other submissions, your bedroom really stands out.  I think it’s excellent.  (I can understand about the time; I always work at night.)

@yukinoh1989 Nice, lovely morning feel to this!  The yellow patch of light is strange to me, though.  It doesn’t seem right for some reason.  But good start so far!

Wonderful shading a lighting work so far @yukinoh1989! The toy truck is good already. If you decide to add stickers or dust+dirt, that’ll be icing on the cake.

And your daytime scene is lovely. The colors of the landscape in the window matches perfectly with the shadows in the room. Very consistent lighting 👍

@theluthier thank you so much. I just wonder. With the bedroom when I took render preview in the workspace  it was really slow. Is there a way to somehow speed that up?

really like what you did with the stars for the night sky, great work manipulating the HDRI, I had no idea how to do that when I did the excercise, the shadows also match quite well

Thank you i am happy you like it 😀 i also gave the room some moonlight effect not too much but a bit. also changed the position so that its lighting up another part of the room (kinda loved that effect not sure if its perfect but i loved it 🙂 )
also been trying the whole day working with nodes but not with much goods but i somehow got a kinda dirt effect (gonna try to add it also to the blue of the truck if its looking good. )

@yukinoh1989 Nice night scene!  It feels like an echo of your day scene in the reddish-pink lamps, which I like.  Nicely lit.  Good work.

@silentheart00 thank you so much silentheart. The night scene render had to be pushed to 2500 samples. It made it take 55 +- minutes to render. Somehow there where a lot of dark and noise spots in the scene what somehow was distracting. I am happy it’s turning out good. Still am gonna have to finish the toy truck. But it sure is a struggle xd. But at least I somehow start to get a kind of dirt effect

@yukinoh1989 Yeah, that’s just part of the rendering process.  Upgrading your hardware can help to cut some of that down, but that’s money you’ll have to spend.  You can also pay to use a renderfarm, which would most definitely get your render done faster, but again, money.  Depends on what you want to do.

The truck grime is looking good so far, forgot that was there lol.

@silentheart00 indeed sadly for now I cannot afford any upgrades. Already for staying here I slightly had to adjust the way I spend my money. I do hope  later that I can somehow start this as freelancer so that life will be easier again 🙂 but for now I try sometimes to work over so I can at least keep having it comfortable and stay here. 

The truck might get overseen more since it’s not in the top post. Only post finished results there so that Kent know what is finished

@yukinoh1989 Do the best you can with what you have.  You could have the best tools available and still be terrible at whatever you do.  If you find yourself being limited by your tools, then it might be worth looking into an upgrade.  But, that’ll be down the road.
