Hi,

I assume that by now you will have sorted this out, but if not I think your problem is that in the layer ‘Human’ you need the Attic_Interior and Shadow_Catcher set to Holdout which you haven’t done in your screen shots.

This is mentioned around the 3 minute mark of the Rendering and Compositing video.

Hi Spikey,

Not sure what you mean by ‘ridiculously high’, I personally think that with AO too much is never enough!

Only joking, great spot.  Have made that change and my renders now look much better.

Although it was a mistake on my part setting the AO that high, it would be good to understand the process of AO in Eevee as it was a really weird result.

Thanks for coming back so quickly.

I had considered the scale and the position of the dots the first time, but retried and have included some screen shots.

I’ve used the same settings that Kent had in the recording, I’ve attached screen shots of those too.

I re-baked and have attached the new image, it is slightly better,  but not much to be honest.

Any other ideas?
