i must admit you’re right i didn’t see it before but… The grass and the rock seems less “cartoonish” than the others objects (sword, plant, trees…)i dont know what cause this effect 😮

@galledark Maybe the objects are just too complex overall?  Maybe try making a basic rock without the displacement, just a bunch of flat faces, and see if that’ll work better with the overall style?  Don’t know what to do about the grass, though.

@galledark Very cool approach to rebuild this sword into a full scene. And wow, you’re rocking particle grass in there! Way to go all out. A+ 👏

One minor note: Compositionally it’s a little dark. Can be difficult to make out shapes clearly. The cartoony aesthetic is really nice though.

I try to do my best in every project i make and its strange to realize that i can model more faster than before…
In january i took a entire week to make this sword.
Today: it took me 6 days to make this sword PLUS all this background.
And… i’m sure i can do even better… xD
I just need some time to practice and improve again ^^’

@galledark Great to hear! I often think of myself as a slowpoke but what originally took me an entire day 7 months ago I can now knock out in an hour, you never truly realise how far you’ve come until you look back.

I think this is the most important lesson i’ve learned during this week: Learn something NEW at every work.
The more i know how to create what i want, the less time i spend to learn how to do it !

I think it’s the key to become better to almost anything…
