@thecabbagedetective That’s a good looking frame, Aaron. I’m a bit sad that I can’t see more of the details you put into Clank, but I think the action makes up for it. Just starting to work on the reel now – it will definitely get in.

@nekronavt Yeah I almost wanted to say it was intentional due to the later Ratchet and Clank games dialing up the bloom to like, 40, but it’s a very valid piece of feedback and thus I’ve edited it, thanks!

@yukinoh1989 Yeah I probably should’ve rigged it but ended up moving the limbs manually by simply rotating and scaling them. I still have the neutral ones stored away but if you decide to do anything like this rigging may be a good idea.

@shiennar You’re very kind! For the record I have made a slightly updated version if you wanted to change it but the differences aren’t *that* major so if you’re happy with what you have then that’s totally fine.

@thecabbagedetective Hmm, what a conundrum. I like the shinier version more, but I’ll respect the artist and the reel will have the new final-final render in. 🙂

@thecabbagedetective You only have one speed, Mr. Rudderham: FULL STEAM AHEAD! It’s always a blast seeing what you come up with.

On the other hand, keeping the background simple solves my critique from week 1. In that way it’s a wise choice. The characters stand out really well this week.

I like the update from facebook feedback 👍

@theluthier Very much appreciated, thank you! I intend for the background to be much more complex come Week 4 so it’s going to be interesting to see if I can manage to balance it.

i am not sure what rigged means but i think i understand how you die it with scaling.  is rigging some tool too to use when modeling?

@yukinoh1989 Rigging is like adding a skeleton to a character to move it.  It’s a more intuitive way for animators to animate something and you can constrain the movement so you don’t get “impossible” poses.

Very impressive ! and verry funny scene 🙂
i gonna look closer how to use the DoF effect, i’d like to make scene like yours 😉

@galledark Trust me, DoF can be the life or death of your scene, it’s a fantastic little touch that changes a lot.

                                  Day 1 done!

Didn’t get much done unfortunately, ’cause I had to concentrate on Maths. But both good and bad news. The good being maths is not taking nearly as much time as I thought in the coming days, the bad being that not only did I not do much today but I wanted the bear standing up in the scene, and rigging is haaaaaaard, so I might just start the sculpt over again. Rather divided on that so be sure to tell me what you think would be the best idea!

Though I feel for a daily update there wasn’t a lot here so I decided to give you a little something else, so here’s an animated turntable of a Gadgebot from last week’s homework:

Have a good day guys, and happy sculpting!
