@theluthier Wow – again!  I was trying to stay low-key this week!!!  Ha….but, thanks really.  It feels maybe a little corny to say it, but I really do owe any progress I’ve made to this place.  Before I came here, I couldn’t make anything in Blender if there wasn’t a tutorial showing exactly how, step by step.   CGC has been my creative Red Bull.

Sincerest apologies to all who’ve been following my work this week, but sadly I will not be able to turn in a Week 4 submission.  Friday night I broke my monitor, and while I ordered a replacement right away, it’s not expected to arrive until later this coming week.  Between yesterday and today, I had hoped to maybe find someone I know locally that might have one I could borrow until my new one arrived, but unfortunately spare monitors just isn’t a thing that people seem to have around.  So weird….

It’s so disappointing to have to  take a zero in a month that I otherwise felt I was doing  so well, but it is what it is.  Once the new monitor arrives I will still finish the project and post it here, but it will in all likelihood be too late to expect a grade.

I’ll still visit the stream on Tuesday, I have an oldish Windows tablet and it handles YouTube streamed video fine, just not Blender.  Great work on your projects this week, everyone!

@jakeblended as nice as grades are,  whats really important is how you have grown and improved over time. You’ve done really well over the 3 weeks and all your submissions have been particularly fantastic.  Whether you do the final project before due date or after it doesn’t really matter.  Though it is a sucky situation and hope you can get back onto blender soon with a new monitor 🙂

@jakeblended Damn man that’s rough. I guess one positive note is that you manage to have a break from Blender in case you’re getting tired from it. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on this thread in the coming weeks to see what you have in store.

@jakeblended Your monitor just couldn’t take the visual awesomeness you were generating. Don’t fret about it – You’ve done incredible work the past 3 weeks and no doubt have inspired the whole class. Just make sure your new monitor can handle your future Blender creations 😎
