@jlampel – Thank you so much for your input during the project. I deliberately chose a medium difficulty asset and was surprised how much time it would take, if you put a lot more work in an individual asset as a seasoned blenderer would. For my next collab, I’ll make sure I’ll have finished all the “fundamentals” courses – I’m on the revolver of your mesh modeling bootcamp right now (a have a 3d-print of the head in my gallery). This has been a very motivating experience, also for seeing how other participants tackle tasks differently, particularly those who I’d call “node-wranglers”.
@theluthier – It really has been fun to work on this – thanks so much for your time that you reserved for this – I think you’re the new champion of screen time (after Jack Bauer on 24). I’ll remain a cookie citizen. I think you really found something unique that the internet is in need for with the collabs, especially for people like me who missed out on going to an arts college in my 20s. I’ve tried MOOCs and other formats which don’t succeed in engaging everyone as much as this did.
