I also have this issue. “Experimental” is set in the render settings, but in the data tab, there is no option for displacement.

The cuts do not separate the pieces of my sphere, at least not while in the side view. For some reason, if I orbit around to a certain angle, the cuts will actually separate the pieces or subtract. This is not ideal.
