Happy that you didn’t retire it. 2021 and still I didn’t find a better course/tutorial series about hair than this. 🙂 Exactly what I need right now
Haha well played 😀
Awesome, thanks to all of you! Love all your courses @waylow @theluthier @jlampel . Learned so much!
Actually, the exercises are one of the major things that distinguish your platform from other random course platforms. (Besides the high-quality course content, of course)
This remembers me of a quote that goes something like this:
Tell me and I will listen. Show me and I will see. Let me do it and I will learn/know.
[Obviously one could just do the suggested exercise, even if there is no extra exercise. But some extra motivation, sure can only be beneficial. Love all the gamification aspects CGCookie is providing. I hope your future platform will expand on that. I feel like there is huge potential for extra motivation if executed correctly.
– The badges
– XP
– Exercises to hand in
– Community grading others exercises. I like doing that on the animation stuff. It helps to sharpen my own eye and someone gets feedback.
– Learning flows, one can complete
These are all very, very nice things that can add to the fun of the learning experience 💪
“Distance’ socket to the ‘Color2’ ” was the way to go. Thanks for clearing this up @mrhuffnpuff
Solved
Hi there. I have a similar question. I did my anotations in the “video editing” workspace. They work fine.
After that I switch to the “Layout” workspace and create a new window with the video sequencer/preview. I see the reference video next to my 3D model, but I cannot see the annotations that I did in the video editing workspace.
Any idea? Annotations are checked in the n-panel, but there is no annotation data block.

Just figured it out as I am writing the question. I have to click on the symbol next to “new” and link in the annotation data block. Leaving this here in case anyone has the same problem.
@waylow in 2.92 is this still buggy? My weapon to hand ik. r isn’t working. The hand is moving but the gun not. I will try the proxy workflow.
EDIT: With the proxy workflow it works as exspected.
In all seriousness. Are you referring to blue filter glasses? I was thinking about getting a pair of these. Do they help?
Idk. guess I am just very sensitive to bright lights in my dark workstation room…
I am binging all of his courses. He is a teaching genius. The Albert Einstein of teaching 3D 💪
The Armature 🙂

I had the same problem and I think I figured it out. Yay. Both linear upwards curves need to have the same “height” to stay in sync.
Y Lov Foot IK L goes from -0,3 to 1(The difference is 1.3)
Y Lov Foot IK R goes from 0,3 to 1,6 (The difference is 1.3)
You did? I am using the 2.8 rigs and having the same problem. Debugging currently…
Thanks for those answers Wayne. That’s very useful info! Also thanks for all the reviews on my exercises I appreciate those a lot 🙂
Everybody is asking for the starting file since 2016 it seems. Maybe someone should take a bit of time and update it so it’s easily available I guess.
