I did seemingly get it to work. I had made sure to change to vertex select before I did the loop cut, but you mentioning to make sure made me pay a little more attention and I noticed that when doing the loop cut it puts me back into edge select. I had to “confirm” the edge loop either by left or right clicking then do the scale along the x axis in order for it to work. It’s still a bit hard to see but you can for sure see the vertices after doing it that way.
I apologize if I came off a bit hot. The little things can really get under my skin, especially when they keep happening, and even more especially when I have a clear example in front of me, that I’m trying to follow, where that seemingly is not happening and I can’t seem to figure it out. I’m sorry if that came across at all in my message. I hate that I may have come off that way.
