Zooming in to see detail causes wireframe to disappear

I’m not sure what I did, but every time I try to Zoom into my mesh to try and see the details, the mesh disappears, and I can see the inside.  It’s like the software is trying to get the mesh out of the way so I can see something behind it.  What is happening, and how do I fix it.

That is the clipping start setting that is not low enough for the size of your model. In your Keyboard, the N key will toggle the N panel and under the View tab, under the view options you’ll see Clip Start. Lower that value and your problem should go away.
