X-Ray Armature View

Is there a reason to not use the  X-Ray armature setting to view the armature and the mesh at the same time? Each video in this series has talked about a different way to differentiate the armature from the mesh in the 3D view.  I had learned of the X-ray option from other tutorials and it seems like simple method. Are there any drawbacks to using that method? I don’t want to develop any bad habits as I go about solidifying the rigging workflow.

No there’s nothing wrong with using the X-ray display setting for armatures. I use it occasionally when rigging. Don’t worry, it’s not a bad habit 👌
