Woven basket is not tiling

I’m using the tissue addon to tesselate a woven basket on a cylinder. The problem is that no matter how I try to fill in the base, the bottom part doesn’t quite connect to the top body, despite the fact that it is made of quads.

How do I tell blender to connect them? Merge by distance did not produce great results.

Hey Sid,

The Tissue Addon is not really beginner-friendly.

And it is hard to guess what you are doing wrong; it works well, with a bit of tweaking of the original Mesh (and maybe also the Cylinder…):
