Why no glossy effect?

I’m using the default Blender setup with the cube, camera, and light source.  But after I added a material to the model and then following the video added the Glossy node in Node editor nothing changed. I did join them the same way as in the video.

Hey Lera, that could be because there’s nothing really for the glossy material to reflect! Try adding an environment texture or adding more objects to the scene. I’d also recommend adding a bevel modifier and see how that changes the look of the reflection.
