Why is only one blade of grass being emitted in the particle system?

I’m using Blender 2.79 and when I choose mesh group in the particle system under render, only a scattering of one blade shows up on the plane. I created 9 clumps and grouped them. If I go under Object instead of Group it list 18 different blades to choose from but I can only choose one. Under group it list the meshgroup but only one blade, say GrassBlade.001 is emitted. Help..

Hey there, so far I haven’t run into that issue and can’t duplicate it. Could you double check that they are all in the same group that is being used? Click on Use Count and see if all the meshes show up in the list. Also be sure that Whole Group is turned off so that they are emitted individually.

Hey, sorry I didn’t write back this morning… I found my error.. Somehow I skipped joining each clump of strands  as one object before making a group of them.. Lack of sleep I guess…. Loved the tutorial and will reference it again and again in my projects…
