Why I can’t perform shift+control+click ??

Why I can’t perform shift+control+click ? Is that specific setting for it?

That functionality is only possible with the Node Wrangler addon enabled – It’s included with Blender 2.79 (official version) but needs to be enabled in user preferences.

*Note I did not use this functionality in this video.
