      Hey!
Not really a question but thought it might be useful for someone down the line. If it´s inappropriate to post that here please feel free to remove it. I found a bit of a bug and how to solve it. Basically if you want to do the pointyness utility texture when you have scaled the head down it creates a whole lot of white artifacts. Solution is to scale the head up as much as necessary to get rid of them and then bake from there.

Nathaniel, THANK YOU! Another person experienced this issue and I was unable to solve it as easily as scaling up. This totally makes sense why I didn’t experience the issue in the course because I rescaled the portrait later – it was huge in the beginning. You’ve provided a fantastic, simple solution to a mysterious problem. 🙏

Why did you think to scale up??

Glad it might prove helpful! I wish I could take all the credit but after a bunch of google searching I found this post that had the solution:
            https://blenderartists.org/t/pointiness-strange-spots-when-using-dyntopo/685298
In hindsight that made a lot of sense since I did get a successfull bake first before scaling the head down.
