when I select object offset, it completely distorts the staircase into exponentially larger and different shapes… i just want to replicate the video, but the object offset isn’t working for me 🙁 🙁

Me too. I’m just about to try everything from the start and see if it works, but even so, I would very much like to know what went wrong.

I tried the whole thing again from the beginning and didn’t have the problem the second time through.

I am having the same problem and tried starting over multiple times. Does anyone know why this may be happening other than just to start over? Thanks!

Figured this out. You have to make sure the rotation and scale are zeroed out and the scale 1, 1, 1 – was at the end of the video. Also make sure to scale in edit mode this seemed to work for me.
