When I import a STL (done in blender) in Cura or Makerbot, the scale is really wrong. I noticed that a model 1m tall (in blener) is 1mm tall in Cura. I modelled it in metric unit and the object scale is 1. My solution is to set the scale option to 1000 during the export, but maybe there is something I’m doing wrong. Any tip?

Hi Andrea, scaling up with the export options would be my solution as well. I haven’t used Cura before, so I don’t have any tips on that unfortunately.

Hey Jonathan, thank you for your reply 🙂
The problem has been fixed with a new version of Blender. Since the STL doesn’t have units, probably the export plugin used coordinates as blender units/meters, while the rest of the (software) world interpreted the file as mm.
