What did I do to make my model mirror?

In the middle of the process (sculpting the horns), I went out to check on the positioning of the horn and found this monstrosity. What did I do to cause this? I never left sculpt mode.

I found out that I clicked the symmetrize button under the dyntopo menu and reflected across the axis. Is there any way to revert to the previous model?

Yep, as soon as I saw this I screamed “symmetrize, NOOOO!” 🙈

If you didn’t save the file soon before symmetrizing or hit CTRL + Z like your life depended on it, there’s no reversion for symmetrizing..
