very uneven final sculpt

maybe its my, not very skilled use of the brushes but somehow my final sculpt some surfaces are very uneven is there anyway to salvage it? As it seems that once too much detail is added it is harder to restructure it.any tips would be appreciated.

The overall shape looks great. 

Are you using a mouse or pen and tablet to sculpt?

It is harder to keep a steady hand with a mouse.

You could go over it with the smooth brush. 

This would be my advice,

Use DYNTOPO with low detail size and subdivide edges, keep the strength fairly low, keep an eye on the brush radius and zoom in close around the detailed areas.

You will probably need to tighten up the creases after.

Its not a necessity, but a personal choice. If you are more comfortable with a mouse that’s ok.

The detail size I mention is for the final smooth, don’t lower this value too soon. Work in stages and lower gradually as you need to.

smooth,flaten,crease,scrape mostly.its a gun 🙂

Oh silly me.  I didn’t pay attention to the trigger part of the gun. 😅 

Anyway, your sculpting are really well done.

You’ve done a great job @rehanqwer! Blender isn’t famous for its hard-surface sculpting so it’s very difficult to get surfaces perfectly straight. More practice will help to refine your technique, BUT I really think most of the wobbliness will be solved if you continue the workflow into retopology.

Retopology will result in a much more efficient mesh that simplifies the shapes. Meaning it will be smoother with crisper edges.
