      Hi guys.

What is the acceptable color in the uv editor so that the textures won’t be too streched out?

I know blue is perfect, but what about pale blue? uv editor

        Hey Max,

That is totally fine like that! It will (almost) never be completely blue all over, except for a default Cube or a Plane or so. Pale blue is still really good. Also, if you put a ‘patterned’ texture  on it stretching will be a lot more noticeable than with a rust, dirt or so texture.

The important thing is to pay attention at your model, if there is an acceptable amount of stretching. As Martin says, there are tough spots where it wont be perfect and we have to deal with a little bit of stretching. Use your UV grid texture to judge if things are working fine.
