Hi Caryl @carylk ,

Apart from some UI changes, not much has changed in the Particle System:

(A Node based Particle System will be the future; a  new Hair system is already in Blender…)

The system is going to change, but it’s worth having the knowledge of how it previously worked to make it easier on the brain when the new one comes around. I’m certain concepts shall remain the same even though the UI changes. So I say the course is fit to watch and learn from it still. 🤙

The particle system is about the same, but I will say that the smoke and fluid simulations are much different. I would love to update this course, but unfortunately the new systems are a bit buggy and the whole state of simulations is in flux since simulation nodes are here and will continue to be used for more and more effects. So, I probably won’t do a whole fundamentals course on dynamics, but I do hope to do more courses on physics effects in the future.
