Tree asset has no leaves

Hi,

My trees look perfectly fine inside the tree blend file, but the moment I import them to my main file using the asset library, I only get the trunk.. Could this have to do with how I parented my trees? I made it so my trunk is the parent as it made the most sense to me to grab the trunk to move the whole tree while I think in the course you made the leaves parent i think. Let me know if you know why only my trunk is showing up. thanks:)

Hello there. I don’t think parenting is the issue, it could be, but maybe not. Maybe the way you set it up in the collection? It’s hard to troubleshoot only by text. If you could share the file we can take a look at it.

It does make sense to have the trunk as the parent, like Omar, I don’t think this is the issue.
Did you have the tree (trunk and leaves) in a tree collection, and mark the collection as an asset?

i lied about the collection part.. my bad:P confused parenting and collections a bit there. thanks for the help!!:)
