      There are quite a few things that is being done in the videos that no longer exist, which gets you confused about what to do.

        Could you be more specific as to what  those things are? I watched this video and everything is still the same in 2.83. Maybe in other videos? Which ones? What is he using that, according to you, no longer exists. With timestamp when possible.
