This is my take on the final assignment for CORE5.2 materials

This proved to take many days to finalize 🙂 The more I worked on the scene, the more I wanted to add. And the more I added, the more I wanted to redo. I could probably go on for days, but this will be it for now. Perhaps I will revisit the scene after I have learnt about animation. Giving the alien some horrifying movements would add to the scene.

Disclosure. I have not modelled the human character nor it’s clothing. I have just tweaked it’s pose.

The thing I like the most about this is the Dutch Angle.
I mean if the camera was level it would probably be a little boring.

Tilt the camera – boom.  Chaos ensues just before you get eaten by a very mobile Sarlacc.
It’s enough to make you want to make a mess in back of your pants.
On it looks like that is exactly what Miranda is doing haha

Does the term Dutch Angle come from the idea, that a camera man gathered some Dutch courage before shooting?

Well, the adjective Dutch is actually a mistranslation of Deutsch, which is German for German. And in the case of Dutch Courage, it refers to the Netherlands, but Dutch Angle on the other hand, seems to come from  its use by German expressionists, was first used by a Ukrainian filmmaker and has absolutely nothing to do with Italy.
