      This is great! I have retopologized tons of models but never knew about the mean crease. So how does the mean crease work exactly? It looks like it is non-destructively beveling the marked edges rather than actually adding in new vertices to the object data. This seems quite powerful, how come it was not used in the modelling a sci-fi helmet course? Is there some sort of downside to using it?

        Thanks! I went and read the Blender manual on the on it to see how it works.
