There are lots of bit maps available on the internet for rust and grunge and scratches. Many are free. Here ia a link to good quality free textures. http://www.textures.com/

As Mr. Trammell says, there should be enough textures in the source files to get you through the exercise.
Kent Trammell: Blend files and textures are always downloadable as “Project Source Files” in the Course Files tab of the course homepage.
