From what I can tell, my settings are as shown in the video, but when I ctrl+click to add a vertex snapped to the rock object, it does not show up in the viewport. Looking at the count at the top of the scene I can see that a vertex was added, and I can see edge lines when I add another one, but the actual vertex markers do not appear in edit mode? When I ctrl+click outside the object, the ‘square dot’ vertex marker shows fine, but not when creating a vertex on the surface of my reference object. Snapping is set to “face” mode, but it seems like the vertexes all get created just barely under the surface and I can’t see them. Is there a setting or something that I am missing to make these display?

Thanks Jonathan. Loading up my scene today shows that snapping is indeed enabled. Without changing anything I can see the vertexes now as expected. Not sure what it was, but I appreciate you responding! Thank you!
