Pressing V shows different icons than the ones shown in the tutorial.

Yes they changed them in 2.83 and they are a lot clearer now; a great improvement.

I feel both are useful,

the new one for Animator newbies trying to figure out the difference in the behavior of the keyframes

and the old one for Animator oldies because it reflects the shape of the keyframes in the timeline, as a legend for easy reference once newbies have learnt the difference.
