      The bounce effect is not applying, just like petemac76 stated. I have the “z” singled out, highlighted/selected, hit “T” and apply the bounce and still does not work. Using 2.77.

        I know this is an old answer but I met a similar issue and for me It seems that I had to disable the ‘only insert Needed’ option within Blender’s preference in the ‘editing’ tab.
