Texture Painting – Huion Pen tablet

This is only the second time i tried using a tablet or doing any texture painting. I don’t know what key i hit to change it as it was working up until this point fine. 

the airbrush setting has kinda of a  stutter effect to the painting. and the dot brush has 2 lines that make from it. not sure if that has to do with a setting in blender or an issue with the tablet.

Hi Legacy Of Wax;

I do not think it’s your tablet that’s causing this. Try painting with your mouse to see if it makes a difference. You can also try it with your tablet, but with pressure sensitivity turned of.

As far as the Airbrush is concerned, try changing the Rate:

A smaller Rate puts the points closer together. It’s a time dependent rate, so also moving the Brush slower helps.

Can’t reproduce the double line issue. Maybe that’s because I have 2.81. 

I have also tested this in 2.83 and in that version the Rate of the Airbrush doesn’t seem to work. (It behaves like the rate is always set to infinity..)

Just saying, they appear to be working on Texture Painting, so differences between versions are possible.

I highly recommend switching to the latest stable release: 2.81.

I have checked the mouse and yes the mouse has the double stroke thing as well. I updated to 2.81 still happening. I updated tablet firmware(i know this wasn’t the issue because the mouse was doing it to.

So I created a new file made a new texture and I was not getting the double stroke. so i checked the settings on what it was and it was set to space. So I must have switched it to airbrush at some point and not have noticed. I went back in to the original file set the brush and the settings to what the default was. Still get the double stroke issue.  

 At this point all i can think to do is load my 3d model into a new project with the texture and go from there. 

I had one more thing that popped into my head to try which led me to this.

I have checked all the wood pieces to it the top 3 side pieces all have the double stroke issue everything else is fine.

any suggestions?

Crazy. Something must be different in the file where you get the double stroke and if it isn’t the settings, then…?

How are your UV s looking; any overlapping or other weird things? (I don’t expect that that’s causing this, but it can’t hurt to check.)

Think about it; what else could be different?

I for one, have no idea…
