      For some reason the two layers for controlling the wear are missing from the Smart Material from the start. Could it be that the newer version of Substance Painter they changed the smart materials?

        Interesting, the smart material in the latest version is indeed different! It looks like the weathering controls are fill layers under the Base Steel and under the Scratches mask.
