@bc_griffin Absolutely breathtaking👍!  The lens flare effects make it look extra cool! How did you achieve this result?

Thank you very much, @bc_griffin 😀 ! Is this model all-quads? I think, with low-poly a modeler can be more generous with tris an n-gons especially since there won’t be any deformations 😉. @bc_griffin Take also care of yourself, dear Bennie 😀!

@bc_griffin Oh, one more question 😉: Do you use any external video editing software or is this all “Made in Blender”?

            An awesome animation @bc_griffin .

@euv  you can do it too, keep practicing, take up the challenge and you can achieve great things.

@duerer Thank you Ingmar. 😊 🙏 It is a complex node setup that I created within the compositor that includes the use of various glare nodes, sun beam nodes, curve nodes, colour balancing nodes and masks. I also had to tweak the sky texture node quite a bit to achieve the desired look I was after. No external video editor were used. All effects were created solely using Blender. I push Blender as far as I can to show people it’s capabilities. 😊 Thank you again Ingmar. Good luck with your projects.

                @adrian2301 Thank you Adrian. 🙏

@euv So true what Adrian said. Keep on practicing. This is why I love Challenges as opposed to Contests. People can get very discouraged when they feel that their work is not good enough whereas with Challenges its all about You, perfecting and challenging your ability, learning and adapting. I do not become intimidated by great art, instead I become inspired and strive to become great by practicing. After all it is the mistakes we learn from that expands our knowledge. This is why we are all here,  to grow as artists. Don’t give up, you will achieve great things. Your Gallery to me looks great already. 😊

@duerer Mostly quads and some triangular. This is still a learning curve for me. Great advice, thank you Ingmar. Will convert my quads to triangles. 😊

@bc_griffin I remember me modeling Kent’s “treasure chest” which is, despite it’s already a more complex object, stil a low- poly object, but I was trying to make it all-quads as a personal challenge 😉😁 . In the end, it wasn’t necessary since the “Lattice Modifier” for giving the treasure chest a more cartoony look didn’t pose a problem and it’s still looking fantastic in Kent’s “Coin Explosion Animation” here.

Thank you, Bennie 😀! Especially the rotation of the lens flare beam coming from the engines makes it look extra cool 👍. Does this come automatically from the “Compositing” node setup or did you need to animate a setting?

@duerer You’re welcome Ingmar. I think the lens flare I kept at default. The sun beam nodes were animated because I wasn’t entirely satisfied with it’s default position. I will have to confirm. 😊

                            Hi,

My earth model is now rendered complete. I can’t wait to breathe life into it.

Have been watching Armageddon for some inspiration.

This model is based upon Andrew Price’ tutorial.

Started modeling a small section of my space station.

Time is against me right now so I will only be submitting this piece alongside my low poly space station.

I will however upload a complete animation of my space shuttle launching into space in the near future.

Out of this world @bc_griffin , When I read ‘Andrew Price Tutorial’ I was expecting a donut world.

adrian2301 Thank you Adrian. Hahaha, oh goodness NO. The Donut tutorial is such a great Introduction for Beginners. I did however made some adjustments to make it my own. It is just courteous to give credit where it is due. Thank you again Adrian.
