So, I was excited to find this course because I’m trying to make a character model for a video game, but in this lesson, you said we aren’t trying to make this character for a video game. 🙁

Should I bother going through this course now? I don’t know what main differences exist between a video game character model vs an animation only character model besides maybe a poly count.

Is there a different course anyone recommends I should take before investing time in this one?

        Hi Jonathan,

Is it reasonable to use this in a PC build prototype, to be downscaled later?  Or will the result be way too complex?

I imagine regardless, this is what’s necessary to get a nicely detailed character.

          You can! Do reptopology. https://cgcookie.com/course/introduction-to-retopology

For rigging, follow your preferred game engine’s documentation.
