after all the adjustments, a few of my dice appear to be sinking into the plane on first contact. any help?
Hi Samantha,
The first thing you could try (if you haven’t done that already), is to increase the number of rRigid Body calculations per Frame:
(The Solver Iterations is for Rigid Body Constraints, which you don’t have if I’m not mistaken.)
Giving the plane some thickness could help too.
That shouldn’t matter if you use a Box Collider, or even a (default) Convex Hull collider as far as I know. But do feel free to experiment with that!
Oh wait, Sascha is absolutely right; adding more thickness should help with the Collision detection, just like increasing the number of Subframes, but it’s much cheaper than the latter.
I seem to remember having a similar issue and thickness fixed it. I think zero thickness is always a bit tricky with that stuff.
