Severe lag with posing

I am using 2.82, I have linked and made the proxy as shown in the video, however when I go into pose mode there is a severe lag when ever I move the rig. I have tried this in other versions too and I have the same issue. How do I fix this?

Try turning on “Simplify” (to level 0)

Also make sure you are using the 2.8x version.  (You probably are but gotta check the simple things)
