Selection not creating an Island

I just had this problem where the 3 selected faces does not create an island but instead two seperate once. Might be something i missed during the course. What would be the best way to solve this?

Did you make that Cube yourself?

Because it looks like you have some, so-called ‘double Vertices’. Look at your stats, it says you have 10 Vertices and 11 Edges Selected, that should be 8 Vertices and 10 Edges. Select everything (with A) and M > Merge > By Distance. Then Unwrap those Faces again.

I managed to solve it myself by edition the modell (so it probably was a dublicate problem), and by checking if the UV-vertices where at the same location as the actual modell vertices later in the video i managed to fix the same problem again.  I learned a lot thanks!
