Scale for solidify is not working as in video

Ok so this isn’t something that is stopping me from moving on but when I’m adding the solidify modifier to my ground and set the thickness to what is used in the video my thickness is very thin by comparison to what is used in the video. I have to increase my thickness to .96m before it is near what is shown. I’m not sure why this is happening, and at this time it’s not stopping me from completing the project as I just scale it up until visually its about right but I do wonder if I’ve altered a setting someplace? 

Similar issue with the displacement modifier where I have to boot the strength up to nearly 1 (currently at .900) in order to get a similar effect to what is shown. Again this isn’t stopping me from getting the results I am looking for but it does make me wonder if some setting is off somewhere.  Thanks in advance!

without pics or vid, I’m guessing but you may have scaled your item larger, in which case the rest would not match… the other thing to check is if you scaled and did not apply the scale then blender is notorious for doing strange things when you try other operations…

again I’m guessing at this point…

Ok I’ll take a look at that. I’ve done that before actually so it wouldn’t surprise me if this was the case. Thank you for the quick response!
