Probably because of the presentation, but it feels a bit like a sci-fi soccerball to me 👍

Yeah, the black background, the reflective surface, the nice lighting, it all feels so slick. That’s the power of a great composition 🤙

Went for a brighter composition this time. It feels like it’s missing something but I’m not sure what. But I learned a ton and am excited to start applying to my own projects.

Taking what I learned from the hard surface section of fundamentals of mesh modeling. I put together a version of a dell xps 8960. Felt like it had a lot of overlap with what was taught in the course so far. Definitely looking forward to learning more about materials.

Learned a lot on this one but definitely think I would do a few things differently if I did it over again. Fun project!render-final-top.png

                    Hi Jeff,

Looking good! (And I can highly recommend doing it again…that is always a good idea.)

I second that. Starting over and trying things a second time is the best habit we can get into.

I’ll definitely circle back to the logo after more practice. I ended up starting on the final project. Definitely took 3 or 4 different attempts/approaches at the blanket for the bed. I tried cloth physics but had a hard time getting that to look better than what I landed on here. wip-11-24-24.png

                          That blanket looks really great!

Progress update: Finished a cup, dresser w/ drawers, and a really low def TV. wip-11-25-24-2.png

Hey it’s an old school TV. Looking good so far. Now it’s a matter of adding more assets, and like mad scientists say it in movies, more, more! MORE! MOOOOORE!

Finished the desk, chair and a couple lamps over this last week. Hoping to start on some books for the shelves and a couple other small props this coming week to start filling out the room more.
