rubber wierd shading

      Hello, in my file the black line has some wierd shading and I don’t know why.

          Hi Christian,

          I am not this far yet in this Course, but your UV Unwrap looks very messy and is probably the cause of that ‘weirdness’ of the rubber strip.

            OK thank you for the quick answer, I’ll watch the uv unwrapping video again, maybe I forgot a step.

              Also check your faces, you may have some flipped normals there.

                Hey @pohrerhub,

                To fix the line:

                • Add 2 Loop Cuts (Ctrl+R) on the side of the rubber part
                • Then select the faces with the Rubber material assigned
                • Go the Side or Front view Orthographic (both should work)
                • Make sure to select the correct UVMap
                • Press “U” and choose Project from View (Bounds)
