Roof Moves When Setting Cloth

Hello, When I set the roof position slightly over the beams (as you did). Its position is moved when I set the cloth option under the physics tab to it. Why does it change its position when I had it over the beams?

Hi @violetcrystal ,

Make sure that you are on Frame 1, when adding the Cloth Physics. Maybe it’s something else, a lot can go wrong when setting up a simulation 🙂

Thank you, while starting at frame 1 fixes the position, it still goes through the wood instead of falling over it like a cloth. Is there a setting where the object to collide with it meant to be assigned? It’s not clear in the video.

Ah, the roof beams are set to the collision setting, not the roof cloth, I didn’t catch that.
