      In my machine(M1 MacBook Pro) enabling the shadow caustics results in a very slow render, I’m using the sample file from the video and Blender 4.2.1time-no-caustics.jpg

      Might be something incorrect on the scene configuration?

        Hi Carlos @fmcarlos ,

        That sounds absolutely normal to me. It’s a very expensive effect in Cycles. Nothing to worry about, just be careful when you use it.

          Yes exactly, caustics are famously very expensive to render. That is why people do all sorts of hacks to get as good as caustics as the real thing. If you ask me when doing 3D and CGI is all fake anyways, so if the fake versions looks good enough, use it and move on.
