Pot lattice not connected to pot?

Is there any reasons why my pot object doesn’t scale with the lattice modifier that is attached to the pot lattice?

This is the pot object and the lattice in question.

Hey Frank,

On the pot object add a lattice modifier, and in the modifier click the object box and select the lattice.

The pot should now deform with the lattice object.
