What if I wanted to have the camera point away from the sphere over time? I tried adding various types of Rotation keyframes for the camera object, but it doesn’t seem to note the camera’s orientation.

After following the video’s steps for rotating the camera with an empty, I tried this:

I put a LocRotScale keyframe on the camera at the desired starting angle:

I then go to the last frame, which looks like this:

I use Shift ` to make the camera’s view a little higher, and I insert another LocRotScale keyframe:

But then when I go back to the beginning, the view is no longer what I set it to be in the beginning (it’s too high now):

Is it possible to change how much the camera points at the sphere over time? Thank you!

If I understand correctly, that is because you changed the Shift. You should Animate the Shift value:

Thank you, spikeyxxx! Unfortunately, when I adjust the camera, those values don’t change.

I resorted to moving the Empty sphere around instead of adjusting the camera directly.

Still, great to know that I can keyframe those values if I wanted. Thank you again!
