not all my areas have an edge loop

Hi, 

did i do something wrong during the Insert process ? 

shouldn’t be there another edge in that red box :

Face mode : 

see what am talking about ? every “area” is separated by “2 faces”, while the left one only have “1 face”.

Any idea why did that happened ?

UPDATE: 

Fixed it 😀 !! turns out that i forgot to insert the last 2 or 3 “big areas”, it all good now :

(thanks alot for the “new” selection methods, that + vertex group made assigning materials to this surprisingly complex object a piece of cake! )
