Need technique to revert back a rounded bevel to a sharp corner.

Hi, 

I regularly have to turn rounded (beveled) edge back to a sharp corner (mainly used for modeling furniture panels or table tops). Every time I kind wing it, I use the flat faces, stretch them pass the edge at 90° and cut at the intersection of the two.

What I’m looking for is if anyone know a way to get that result faster and consistently.

I would use edge slide to tackle this. In edit mode, select a line, tap ‘G’ twice to go into edge slide mode and slide the lines together. Then tap ‘A’ to select the whole mesh, tap ‘W’ to go to the specials menu and select ‘remove doubles’ (to avoid overlapping vertices). I would start with the bigger lines on the side, working your way from outside to the inside. When they are done you can slide the remaining vertices on the top and/or bottom to the corner. That should give you a sharp 90 degree corner.  I haven’t been using Blender for long, so maybe one of the more experienced people here knows a faster way, but that is how I would do it. Hope this helps!

@smurfmier1985 gave a great answer, though it still takes some time. I’ve been using the addon MESHmachine the last few weeks and it’s able to convert a bevel back to a sharp corner in one click in most cases. It’s definitely a time saver if you find yourself needing to do that often.
