Messed up the battery lid; how to fix this?

Hi, I am rendering the console (part 2 of this tutorial) and see that aparently the lid of the battery is messed up. I think it happend in this video around 15:15. But don’t know how to correct it. Thanks for any suggestion.

When things get so messed up, trust us, it’s better to select all of that, delete it and start over. You will spend so much time trying to correct the mess and you’ll only get frustrated. If you delete that part and start over, you’ll gain speed and if you duplicate the messy party to have it as a backup, you can perform an autopsy and compare it to your good part and see what went wrong.

Thanks Omar! I will try to do that part again. But since it is so connected (for me as a beginner) it is a bit of a puzzle to get everything back to place. But i’ll just do that

Don’t worry, the struggle is good. Learning to model is all about getting your brain to adapt to all the ways things shouldn’t be. You will never ever start model and things will work out perfectly fine and you’ll just magically learn. When your brain starts to get it, it’s because you have been in so many messed up situations you star to realize what not to do and which path is the path that works. That is why it’s so important to start over when you’re a beginner.
